Using IPTV SMARTERS PRO on a CHROMECAST WITH GOOGLE TV STEP BY STEP
Not only because of its great performance and reasonable pricing, but also for the benefit of full access to the Play Store to download hundreds of IPTV players without the need for sideloading, as we do on other popular streaming devices like Firesticks, Chromecast with Google TV is one of the best choices for IPTV users.
IPTV Smarters remains one of the best free IPTV players for Android, and luckily, we no longer need to download it separately as it is now available directly from the Play Store.
I will show in this post how to download and configure IPTV Smarters Pro on your Chromecast gadget.
First Step: Download IPTV Smarters Pro from the Play Store
We had to sideload IPTV Smarters Pro to use it until lately. There is no need to follow the sideloading path now since it can be downloaded from the Play Store.
You only have to write IPTV Smarters in the search bar; voice commands will also work.
Keep in mind that if you cannot locate the IPTV Smarters app when searching, follow this guide on how to sideload IPTV players on a Chromecast, as IPTV players can be readily removed from the Play Store without any prior notice.
Second Step: Configure IPTV Smarters Pro
You now have the app on your Chromecast; all you have to do is link it to the server of your IPTV provider.
If you don’t have a subscription with an IPTV provider yet, I suggest you check out this guide on how to choose the best IPTV provider for you.
Open IPTV Smarters Pro
IPTV Smarters will be accessible on your device just like any other program you already have. After downloading, all you have to do is click on the application icon to open it.
Select Xtream Codes API
I strongly advise you to use Xtream Codes API since it is far faster and the EPG is already included with it. IPTV Smarters Pro allows you the option to connect to your provider’s server using several methods.
Fill in Your Account Details in IPTV Smarters Pro
Your IPTV provider will send you some details to connect to their server. It is usually an m3u link that looks like this:
http://line.iptvdomain.com/get.php?type=m3u&username=XXXXX&password=XXXXX
Though it is included in the m3u URL, don’t panic if you do not see any reference to Xtream Codes API.
As you can see, IPTV Smarters Pro asks for four pieces of information:
-
Playlist Name: You can write anything you want; I suggest using your IPTV provider’s name.
-
Username: This is included in the m3u URL; it is the
XXXXX
after?username=
. -
Password: Same as the username; it comes after
password=
. -
Server URL:
http://line.iptvdomain.com
(your case will be different).
Note: In your case, the username and password will be random letters, numbers, or a mix of both. Do not copy the information exactly as indicated above. The same applies to the server URL, which will be different from the example provided.
Make sure you click “Add User” after entering the exact details your provider sent you.
Enjoy IPTV Smarters Pro
That’s it! After clicking “Add New User,” the app will start downloading channels, and you will see three sections on the dashboard:
-
Live TV
-
Movies
-
Series
The latest version of IPTV Smarters Pro allows you to download only what you want.
By following these simple steps, you can now stream all the channels your provider has given you access to. As always, I highly recommend using a VPN when streaming IPTV. If you have a VPN subscription, install their app and connect to the VPN whenever you want to ensure privacy and security.
